This month at The Design Team (St Cloud MN) we are talking about the Half Timber or more commonly known as the Tudor Style home. The history of the Tudor style houses were built in England about 1550 during Queen Elizabeth’s time. The second story sometimes overhung the first floor to get more space in the second floor.
Characteristics of the Tudor style home include:

- Brick, Stucco and some Stone
- Stucco Between Timbers is Called Nogging
- Gable, Hip and Clipped Gable Type Roof

- Small Panes (Square or Diamonds)

- 1 1/2 to 3 Stories
- Some Eyebrow Type Windows
- 9” to 12” Overhang
- Some Leaded Glass Windows were used

- 7 x 9 Garage Door
- Arch Type Door (Many Panels)
